On Saturday, 26th December 2022, the social media account of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume movie declared on Saturday, 22nd October 2022 that the movie will have scenes featuring tremors and tremors alarms. The production committee of the movie said that the sounds or the voices of alarms are fictional or imaginary and do not has happened in reality and asked for the understanding of the audience. The movie Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume releasing in Japan on 11th November 2022. According to the reports, this film was launched throughout the world except in Asia at the start of the next year and it will be available to watch on different streaming platforms for international viewers such as Wild Bunch, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The North American distribution will be handled by Crunchyroll, whereas Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll will manage the film in Australia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, South America, portions of Europe, and New Zealand.

Wild Bunch International, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Crunchyroll will launch the movie in German-French-speaking Europe. The description of the tale shared by CoMix Wave Films stated that “The voyage of Suzume, the 17-years-old starts in a quiet town in Kyushu when she meets a young man who informs her, “I am looking for a door”. What the character Suzume discovers is a single weathered door standing honest in the bosom of ruins as though it was safeguarded from whatever disaster struck.

Apparently captivated by its strength and power, Suzume reaches for the knob. The gates start to open one after another throughout Japan, liberating annihilation upon any who are close. The 17-years-old girl must close these portals to stop further natural epidemics.

Shinkai said that 3 key points about the movie are that it is a road film throughout Japan, a tale about “shut down” instead of opening them, and a reason in order to visit the big screens or we can say film theatre. Shinkai elaborated that shutting gates can refer to confining loose ends or ending something. The 2 previous movies of Shinkai, Weathering With You, and Your Name have also aimed at natural disasters and epidemics.
