It’s on the occasion of the event ⌈ Café LycoReco After Party! Tomorrow is another day ⌋, which was held this Saturday in Japan, that a brand new Lycoris Recoil anime has officially been announced! An announcement video was unveiled for the occasion.
For the moment, the broadcast date and the format of this new project have not yet been specified. Among other things, it could therefore be a second season, a film, or a brand new original creation around the series.
Lycoris Recoil Season 2 Announcement Or Release Date
A phenomenally successful title, both in Japan and internationally, Lycoris Recoil is an original anime from animation studio A-1 Pictures and director Shingo Adachi, which has easily established itself as one of the best anime of the year 2022, especially because of its two main characters, Chisato and Takina, which immediately captured the hearts of the public.
As mentioned earlier, it was Shingo Adachi who directed the first season of the series at the animation studio A-1 Pictures. Asaura wrote the script while Imigimuru held the position of the character designer. Maruyama Yusuke served as assistant director and Morioka Toshitaka as 3D director. The music was composed by Shuhei Mutsuki.
If for the moment, relatively little information is available about this new project, there is no doubt that the fans of the series will be there, more impatient than ever to find the two famous heroines!
Lycoris Recoil Anime Synopsis
Thanks to the efforts of the DA, a syndicate specializing in anti-terrorist action, crime is at an all-time low in Japan. To protect citizens, the organization collects and trains young orphan girls to become professional killers as part of their “ Lycoris” security program.
Following an act of insubordination, Takina Inoue, a particularly promising Lycoris, is sent to “LycoReco”: a charming little Japanese cafe located in the center of Tokyo, actually serving as a cover for the group’s agents.
There, she meets Chisato Nishikigi, her new teammate, considered a true prodigy, but who refuses to kill her targets and prefers to put them out of harm’s way through non-lethal means.
While Takina does everything possible to be reintegrated into her old unit as soon as possible, Chisato will do everything to prove to her the true value of life…
