As per the reports, On Saturday, 22nd October 2022, Shinkai disclosed on his official Twitter account that “Suzume”, his 1st new movie in 3 years has finally finished production. He also disclosed that the first 12 minutes of the movie will be telecast in the country of Japan and the audience will be able to watch it on NTV alongside “Your Name” the movie of Shinkai on Friday, 28th October 2022. The Twitter account of Shinkai reads “Sparrow’s door lock” and has been completed! “Thank you very much to everyone who worked hard and supported us.” It should be a movie that you will surely enjoy. I hope you can watch a lot!” According to the reports, the movie will open in the country in Japan on Friday, 11th November 2022. The reports are stating that Wild Bunch International, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment will launch the movie throughout the world except in Asia and the film will be released at the start of the year 2023. The streaming service, Crunchyroll will take responsibility for the distribution of North America, while Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll will take care of the responsibility in New Zealand, Africa, South America, the Middle East, Latin America, the portions of Europe, and Australia.
Wild Bunch International, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment will telecast the movie in German and French-speaking Europe. Though the Asian fans are upset that they would not be able to watch it surely the production house will have any kind of plan for their Asian fans.
