Following the defeat of the Demon King Clayman by Rimuru Tempest, who himself became a Demon King in turn by slaying the army of Falmuth, the Holy Empire of Lubelius finds itself in a delicate position.
Indeed, Hinata Sakaguchi, Chief Knight of the Imperial Guard and Captain of the Empire’s Armed Forces, recently took on the world’s strongest slime, creating a conflict that could explode at any moment.
The situation is all the more catastrophic since an emissary, sent by Limulus to Lubelius to attend an emergency meeting, was assassinated.
In order to ease the tension, Hinata goes to the Jura Tempest Federation to speak with Rimuru in hopes of finding common ground. Both sides are walking on embers: a single mistake could lead to an all-out war.
With the help of his lifelong allies: Benimaru, Ranga, Veldra, Shion, and the Great Sage Raphaël, Limulus will have to do everything if he wants to preserve peace.
